Traveller's Alphabet is a game of general travel knowledge. It is an adult game involving as many people as is practical.
- Each player must say "I am going on a journey to [name of place]. I shall [verb] [adjective] [noun]." The four missing words must all start with the same letter of the alphabet.
- In most games the first person starts all words with A, the second person starts all words with B, and so on through the alphabet. However, variations of the game include going backwards through the alphabet, starting in the middle of the alphabet, using every second letter of the alphabet or using the letters of a particular word.
- The two sentences do not have to make sense, but the first sentence must mention a real place and the second sentence must use real verbs, adjectives and nouns in the correct order.
