About SuperEnalotto

Before SuperEnalotto, there was Enalotto, a lottery game enjoyed from the 1950s until 1997 when SISAL modified the rules. Now many people enjoy SuperEnalotto. SISAL, government commissioned, runs the lottery and other games, such as horse races, Formula 1 races, motorbike races, and more. They even have their own TV channel.

Swiss ex-boxer Rodolfo Molo designed SuperEnlotto as people play it today. His act for running games might have came from his father, Geo Molo who invented Totocalcio, a game where players must guess the outcomes of football games. He was also the one of the founders for SISAL, even its present when they got the rights to run a new lottery game, SuperEnalotto.

How to Play?

A player picks six numbers out of 90 numbers. If he matches all six, he wins the jackpot. The draws are different than in other lotteries in that a draw for each number is drawn at a different city: Bari, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, and Venice. If two cities draw the same number, then a second draw is used for that number. The draw at Venice is an extra number called the Joker number.

There are 5 ways to win SuperEnalotto. A player can match 6, 5, 4, and less numbers, and the Joker number plays a role in the prizes he can win.

Further chances in 2006

The Super Star number was added to the game in March, 2006. If players wish to play the Super Star number they must pay an extra amount, giving them the chance to win extra prizes, even if they only match the Super Star. The Super Star number is drawn in Rome. It can even be a duplicate of one of the other numbers.
