Card Types

Pokémon: Pokémon are the focus of the game. Pokémon fight for the player and can become even stronger through evolution. They have special abilities that can help the player win against different types of other Pokémon.

Trainer: These cards can help a player's Pokémon by giving advantages through card effects. These cards are generally discarded after use.

Energy: Powering Pokémon takes energy. There are different energies based around different types of elements.

Turn Flow

Draw a card.

The player can now do the following:
- Put Basic Pokémon on the bench
- Evolve Pokémon
- Attach an energy card to a Pokémon (Once per turn)
- Play Trainer cards (One supporter and one stadium per turn)
- Retreat your Pokémon (Once per turn)
- Use Poké-Powers

Attacking:
- Check if Pokémon has adequate energy.
- Check weakness and resistance of opponent's Pokémon
- Place damage counters
- Check if opponent's Pokémon is knocked out
- Take a prize card if opponent's Pokémon is knocked out.

Turn ends and shifts to opponent.
