Category Section Wizard

Using this feature, editors can add multiple sections at once. This is especially useful for template information input into sections. Using the default template, mulitple sections can be added, but editors are restricted to adding titles only. Used with the Power Edit feature, this can greatly speed up development and growth of categories.
To use the Section Wizard wtih templated sections, several more things are needed. For ease of explanation, the 'Musical Track' template will be used as an example. This template has three fields: Name, Number, and Length. Inserting information on a CD that has multiple tracks is relatively simple once the procedure is known. To add the following data:

Track 1: 5:14 - My Love, Track 2: 4:54 - World

to a properly formated section, the following steps are used.
1: Access the tool though the editor interface. Select the 'Musical Track' template from the drop down template menu, and because the selected template has 3 fields, select 3 from the "Sections Have" box.
2: Insert the data for the first track, then second, and so on, one entery per line. The data needs to be put in a certain pattern in order for them to be grouped properly in step 3. The example data would be entered as follows:
1

5:14
My Love
2
4:54
World

Notice that each track's 3 data elements are grouped together, and where the similar fields of track two's data match the order of track one's. The data must be entered so that each element can be arranged properly in the next step. Once the data has been entered, press submit.
3: The data will appear in a table with 3 columns, with each similar entry in the same column, and any single track's contents in the same row. At the bottom of the page, the columns need to be assigned to a particular part of the section. Because the track numbers were entered first, they appear in column one, so column one gets sent to the "Number" element of the template. Column 2 likewise gets assigned to "Length", and column 3 to "Title". If the data is not properly arranged, the back button will allow for re-arranging the data. Once everything has been properly designated, pressing the Submit button will add the newly created sections into the category, and arranged into a table.

Category Sections

Category sections are useful in categories that do not involve enough information to make the creation of subcategories a feasible idea. They can also appear when there are several subcats with information in them. Category sections are used when a category contains a lot of information, but not enough to warrent creating a subcategory. They appear on the public page in the order they were created, below the subcategories.

To create a section, hit the submit button near the top of the page. This will allow the creation of a new section, and bring up a page with two input fields. The top field is the title, and the bottom is the content. HTML can be placed into the content, but is not recommended. Editing a section can be done by clicking the link beside the title on the edit page.

Section Templates

Certain templates can only be applied to sections. These can be made by selecting a template from the drop-down menu. The template generated then appears on the public page as a row of a table. Additional rows can be added by adding additional sections with the same template.
