[ history ]

The Off By One Web Browser is a compact (1.1MB) and standalone web browser for all versions of Windows (it doesn't require Internet Explorer to be present), and does not include banner adverts. It also requires no installation.

It supports the HTML 3.2 specification, including frames, as well as playing WAV and AVI files.

You can also do a 'Find in files' which will search the text within different files, not including HTML, and you can zoom in on images.

Unlike most free browsers (aside from Internet Explorer and Netscape), Off By One also includes SSL support, so secure sites can be used, for example Hotmail.

It was written by Home Page Software, Inc. ( www.homepagesw.com ) to demonstrate their web browser DLL and object (that can be added to other programs) and the main site is www.offbyone.com.
