Advertising

Advertising is paid, mass communication, in which the sponsor or advertiser is prominently mentioned. Common methods of advertising include: television, newspapers, radio, magazines, Internet and billboards.

The goal of advertising is raising public awareness of a good or service. Advertising is often part of a marketing strategy. For example, companies have marketing strategies to sell products and services. They advertise these products, and or services so people will know they exist.
