Synopsis

The Idol judges looked at their first group of finalists on April 8, but this time the public got to have their say as well. The viewers opinion was effected slightly by the Weakest Link-style judges Dave, Marcus, Randall and Penny, who searched for South Africa's version of Britney Spears.

Ratings increased dramatically at the finals because the viewers had a say on who won. This is the first interactive talent show screened on South African television.
