Synopsis

Sesame Street is a public television preschool program based in a setting that is supposed to reflect an American street. In the show a number of characters, both puppets and people, educate viewers with humor, music, skits, advertisements and activities. Although commercial free, the show makes much of its money from merchandising across the world with a variety of popular toys.
