Synopsis

This is a tale told by ‘John Boy’ of life during the Great Depression. His family, The Walton’s, survive on the money they make from a saw mill near their home in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. The series gives an account of the lives of family members, John especially, as they struggle through the Great Depression and the Second World War.
