Tucker

Premiere: NBC, 8:30 pm ET/PT, October 2nd, 2000

Tucker (Eli Marienthal) and his newly divorced mom Jeanne (Noelle Beck) are forced to move in with her evil, off-centre sister Claire (Katey Sagal), and her son Leon (Nathan Lawrence).

This show, starting in the 2000-01 season featured direct-to-camera speeches and quircky subject matter, making it really just a rip-off of Malcolm in the Middle, which had succeeded the previous year. Executive producers/writers, Terri Hughes and Ron Milbauer said that they wanted to do a modern day version of The Wonder Years.

To attract viewers, this show stunt casted celebrities like John Ritter and Seth Green, but failed much too quickly that season.

TV Guide Canada rated this program a measly 3 out of 10.
