Synopsis

When Britain, France and Israel attempted to attack Egypt in 1956 it almost became World War III, but after the United States President Eisenhower disapproved of the plans, Britain pulled out.

This documentary looks at the anger this caused to the French and the embarassment Britain felt when the world realised their reliance on the USA.
