Former Law and Order star and Canadian-born actor Jill Hennessy is medical examiner Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh on crime drama series Crossing Jordan. Dr. Jordan must work alongside stressed boss Dr. Garret Macy, played by Miguel Ferrer from ER fame.
The series is a dramatic portrayal of the investigations undertaken by a medical examiner and a consultant coroner helped to ensure the program was more realistic than predecessor Quincy M.C.
Dr. Jordan is a character known to speak without thinking and to do anything to solve a crime. She applies a strong control over Dr. Garret and the other detectives.
In the second season she is joined by Lorraine Tossiant as a medical examiner and Ivan Sergei from 'Jack and Jill'.
