Description

Thoroughly Modern Millie is based on a 1967 Oscar-winning film of the same name. It tells the story of a young girl from Kansas who goes in search of a new life for herself in New York City in the 1920's.

Of the eighteen songs in the musical, only three of them are from the 1967 film along with completely new orchestrations and arragements. Millie has won six Tony awards including Best Musical.
