From humble and troubled beginnings as a child in a small Austrian town, coming to the United States to seek his fortune, Arnold Schwarzenegger first conquered the bodybuilding world by winning the Mr. Olympia title 7 times, before he conquered the motion picture box office, becoming the biggest male action movie star in the world.

In 2003, Schwarzenegger was elected governor of the state of California, running as a conservative Republican.
