Scottish music comes in a variety of forms. The usual image people have of Scotland is that of bagpipers and kilts. This is one of their main music styles: that of Highland bagpipe music, that is also used for dancing.
But this is not the only style, and definitely not the only instrument Scottish people are fond of.
Other instruments used are: the Celtic harp, fiddles, flutes, accordion and different types of bagpipes, such as the Smallpipe.
The Scottish are very keen on dancing. In adition to Highland dancing, that is the best known form, Scottish Country Dancing and Ceilidh dances are also popular. These are social dances, somewhat easier than Highland dances, that are mainly practiced in balls.
