Annie Herring, along with siblings Nellie Ward Greisen and Matthew Ward formed the 2nd Chapter of Acts in the early 1970s. After recording a song written by a friend, pop music icon Pat Boone heard the song and arranged a recording contract with MGM Records.
2nd Chapter of Acts became a pioneering group in the Jesus Music/Christian rock genre, though reluctantly so. They toured the country for 16 years, in over 1000 concerts, and recorded 16 albums, finally retiring in 1988.
