The GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award

Unlike other GRAMMY awards that honor the achievements of a person or a group, the GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award honors specific recordings. Established in 1973, the Hall of Fame award is given to a recording that is at least 25 years old, and has shows significant cultural or historical contribution to the recording field. This award is decided upon by a select group of experts from various aspects of the field of recording, including many performers.
