  • The Iliad
  • The Odyssey
    Homer composed the original work of Western literature, the Iliad, and followed it up with the Odyssey. Both works draw heavily from Greek mythology.

    Homer did not write the works as such, as he probably could not read or write; instead he would have memorized them - they were not written down until much later.
