Synopsis

Warning: Contains spoilers.

Two laboratory mice break out of their cage every night with a complex plan to quickly gain world domination, although laboratory mice are perhaps the most unlikely characters one would imagine to either attempt to or almost succeed in taking control of the world, and it would be of little surprise that eventually they always fail.

Pinky is the loveable but idiotic sidekick to the big-headed and very-advanced Brain, who through numerous scientific experiments has gained an unusual and unbelievable intelligence and desire to take over the world. These two very contrasting characters always manage to leave their laboratory cages, disguise themselves as a large person with white clothes and then within one night almost take over the world, although the plan always fails as it reaches an exciting and successful climax.

The theme song introduces the two with the catchy and humorous catch phrase, ‘one is a genius, the other’s insane,’ and this is apparent throughout every episode of this funny cartoon series.

“What are we going to do tomorrow night, Brain?” asks the clueless Pinky in his cute, squeaky voice. The reply he receives is almost always predictable; “The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world?” Thankfully they can only try!
