The series Cardcaptor Sakura begins with the character Sakura Kinomoto (dubbed Sakura Avalon). She is seemingly just an average 4th grade girl until she comes across a magical book in her father’s library. After opening this book and releasing all of the Clow cards into the world, she is introduced to her spirit guardian, Kero. Kero awakens her magical abilities and Sakura becomes the world’s only Cardcaptor. She, Kero and Tomoyo (dubbed Madison Taylor), her best friend, along with other characters, make their way through this series doing their best the recapture the released magical cards.
